Stylo Wordmark

One of my first projects at Stylo was a wordmark update. Though the company liked the playful handwritten script, others often misread the logo and believed the company was called "Stulo." Drawing on my knowledge of typography, calligraphy and hand lettering, I took the original wordmark and carefully altered it for enhanced readability.  I carefully separated the "t", "y" and "l," and reshaped the "y" so it more resembled a traditional cursive form. I replaced the monoline with a subtle width variation that gave the wordmark the appearance of being written with a felt-tip pen. Shifting the cross stroke of the lowercase "t" up just a smidge maintained the playful feel while enhancing clarity.
